چکیده

Background Early gadolinium enhancement (EGE) has been indicated as major CMR criterion for the diagnosis of myocarditis according to the Lake Louise consensus (LLC). However, the suggested threshold of 4.0 for Early enhancement ratio (EER) specifically refers to use of conventional Gd-chelates (gadopentetate dimeglumine). Our purpose was to evaluate performance of a high relaxivity contrast agent (gadobenate dimeglumine) for the detection of EGE applying the suggested cut-off.

Relationship of troponin T to cardiac MRI criteria for acute myocarditis

Background Cardiac MR criteria for acute myocarditis (“Lake Louise Criteria”) include scarring as defined by high-signalintensity areas in late gadolinium enhancement (LGE), and inflammatory markers as defined by an increased early contrast uptake (early gadolinium enhancement, EGE) and edema (increased signal intensity in T2 signal weighted images). Troponin is a widely used clinical marker fo...

Prognostic significance of regional edema and quantitative assessment of late gadolinium enhancement in patients with acute myocarditis

Background Standard diagnostic CMR criteria for acute myocarditis have been proposed (ie Lake Louise criteria) based upon the any 2 of 3 approach which includes the presence of myocardial edema (T2), hyperemia/capillary leakage (early Gd enhancement: EGE) as well as fibrosis (late enhancement: LGE). However, there is a lack of prognostic data using these criteria. The aim of this study was to e...

SNR Optimized Contrast-Enhanced MRA of the Peripheral Vasculature using Patient Specific Timing Parameters: Comparison between High and Conventional Relaxivity Contrast Agents in Patient Suspected of Arterial Occlusive Disease

Introduction Single injection moving table peripheral contrast enhanced MR angiography is increasingly utilized for the evaluation of peripheral atherosclerotic occlusive disease (PAOD). Peripheral MRA (pMRA) is typically performed using a moving table technique during first passage of double to triple dose (0.2-0.3 mmol/kg) extracellular gadolinium chelate. The objective of this study was to c...

Case of myocardial relapse of a T-cell lymphoma after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation demonstrated by cardiovascular magnetic resonance and endomyocardial biopsy.

A 23-year-old patient with recent history of hematopoi-etic stem cell transplantation as a result of a relapse of a cortical T-cell lymphoma presented with dyspnea and recurrent nightly tachycardia. The initial ECG showed ST-segment depression in leads I and II and over the anterior wall, as well as tachycardia (heart rate, 110 bpm; Figure 1). The tro-ponin test was positive (1.780 μg/L; normal...

Synthesis and biological evaluation of a novel Glucosylated Derivative of Gadolinium Diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid for Tumor Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Cancer detection in early stage using a powerful and noninvasive tool is of high global interest. In this experiment, a small-molecular-weight glucose based derivative of Gd3+-1-(4-isothiocyanatobenzyl) diethylene tri amine penta acetic acid (Gd3+-p-SCN-Bn‐DTPA‐DG) as a novel potential MR imaging contrast agents was synthesized. Gd3+-p-SCN-Bn‐DTPA‐DG was synthesized with reacting of Glucosamine...
